My name is Rebecca Kerr and I am doing my PhD research in politics and was wondering whether you would mind talking to me.
I am studying social democratic parties, looking at the British Labour Party and the SPD to understand what social democratic party’s responses are to a changing social and political environment. I start by comparing the growth of UKIP/Brexit party and the AfD and want to compare what the SPD’s responses are to these events. This also importantly looks at the growing middle class and the links to left-wing politics.
